PNE France

We develop solutions for clean energy

PNE France has been developing and operating wind and solar projects since 2003. Backed by the PNE Group, our team delivers sustainable energy with local impact.

Who we are

Acting for the energy revolution

As a member of the PNE Group, PNE France has been developing, financing, implementing and operating wind and PV energy projects since 2003. Our multidisciplinary team works every day at the heart of the territories, in close collaboration with local authorities and a network of recognized partners, to make the energy revolution happen.

With the strength of the group's expertise, PNE France designs integrated and efficient projects, thanks to a detailed analysis of the sites and the wind resources, a significant experience in grid connection and wind farm construction, a precise knowledge of operating and strong skills in financial engineering.

With around thirty employees working in Nantes and Nancy, the PNE France team, led by Serge Galaup, is mobilized and committed for an energy production ever more sustainable.

Part of global PNE Group

Strong Network with great experience

PNE France is operating on a national scale, while being part of an international group that contributes significantly to the energy transition. As a member of the PNE Group, our vision is a 100 percent renewable energy supply. We stand for a safe and clean power generation for the sake of generations to come. Economic, energy and environmental performance is our highest concern in the conception and implementation of our projects.

In order to advance the energy revolution, far-sightedness and forward-looking planning work are required. We have therefore developed into a Clean Energy Solutions Provider. In addition to wind energy, the company's portfolio includes photovoltaics, battery storage and power-to-X technology with a focus on hydrogen.

We shape the future – together, as a team and as a group. This is the only way to achieve the vision of a 100 percent renewable energy supply.

Our Commitments

Develop projects in harmony with their environment

Ecological experts survey animal and plant species over a complete biological cycle. Particular attention is paid to protected species, birds and bats. The level of sensitivity defined by the study makes it possible to propose appropriate measures to avoid, reduce and compensate for impacts if necessary (reduction in the number of wind turbines, reforestation, carrying out the construction work outside nesting or breeding periods, development of protected areas, ecological monitoring, bridle systems, etc.).

The PNE Group has developed more than 2,200 MW and is widely recognized by its partners and customers for building facilities that strictly comply with current regulations and respect the host areas. The locations are determined in order to guarantee public safety and to preserve the living environment (distance to homes).

Landscape experts identify heritage stakes (historical monuments, remarkable sites, landscape typologies). Photomontages support cartographic studies to evaluate the visual effects and the insertion of the project in the landscape. The integration of a wind farm into the landscape environment is a determining factor in the social acceptability of the project. The final location of the wind turbines depends on the analysis of specialists but also on prior consultation with the actors of the territory.

PNE France works with all wind turbine manufacturers and selects the wind turbine best suited to the features of the site (topography, wind resource, distance to homes, acoustic measurements, etc.).

Although regulations do not currently require it, PNE France is contractually committed since 2020 to the landowners and farmers to remove the foundations when the wind farm will be ultimately removed. This commitment is intended to promote a "0 residue" approach in line with the vision of PNE France.

Beyond their local energy production, wind farms generate long-term revenues for local authorities (municipalities, communities of municipalities, departments, regions) and contribute to the emergence of equipment or services that meet the expectations of populations and enhance the attractiveness of the area. They also generate income for landowners and farmers. At each stage of the project, we strive to involve local and regional businesses, thus contributing to economic activity and the creation of local jobs.

The PNE France project manager develops a project by listening to the elected representatives and local stakeholders. The aim is to openly debate the questions raised, to guarantee an equal level of information between all the stakeholders concerned and thus to initiate a collective dynamic around a local project. The communication and the diffusion of information on the project are chosen and developed in consultation with the local authorities and adapted to each site: writing articles and newsletters, creating web pages, organizing information meetings and monitoring committees (elected representatives, associations, residents, administrations), etc.

Real tool for the ecological and energy revolution, the wind farm participates in the space-planning and general development of the area. Thanks to collaboration and attentive listening, the wind farm can be linked to other local actions and approaches, in the service of a territorial vision driven by the local authorities and thus becomes a component of the local development. In order to more closely associate the local stakeholders with the wind farm project, participative schemes can be studied in collaboration with the local authorities.

Encourage positive and constructive relationships with our stakeholders

Our relationships with our partners and stakeholders are governed by our moral values. In their daily work, each employee is an ambassador of our collective identity:

Determination

Driven by our convictions, we move forward with perseverance and commitment to achieve our goals. We believe that the journey matters as much as the outcome: by building on today’s successes, we lay the groundwork for tomorrows. True to our principles, we honor our commitments and demonstrate reliability in all circumstances.

Respect

At PNE France, respect is a core value that guides our actions. Aware of our responsibilities, we act with fairness and integrity to ensure a balance between our partners, our employees, and society, in a sustainable and responsible approach.

Team Spirit

We believe in the strength of the collective while valuing each individual. Mutual trust, support, active listening, and open dialogue enable us to move forward together. We build long-lasting relationships by respecting the expectations and needs of our partners, employees, and society.

Positivity

We bring enthusiasm and energy to our daily work and projects. Convinced by our mission, we act with passion and idealism to tackle challenges with optimism. In the face of a changing environment, we foster innovation to deliver coherent, forward-looking solutions.

WKN France is now PNE France!

This evolution marks a significant milestone in our history and reflects our commitment to uniting our expertise under a strong and cohesive brand. It reinforces our synergies, strengthens our market position, and enhances the value we deliver to all our stakeholders.

What remains unchanged? Our team, our commitment, and the quality of service that drives us every day.
